XP|30 is a short film project that is part of the Aisha XXI Cinematic Social Intervention Plan, developed as a final degree project in Social Education at the Complutense University of Madrid. The aim of this plan is to raise awareness about gender-based violence through cinema, with the goal of releasing a short film each year until 2029.
This project commemorates the 30th anniversary of the UN’s declaration on eliminating violence against women. Building on the success of “Passion Fruit” (2023), the project adapts Giusy Romeo’s “Viritá | Femminile singolare – plurale” (2021) into an experimental musical short film.
By combining music, dance, and visual art, XP|30 pushes the boundaries of traditional storytelling, offering a unique and immersive experience.
The project aims to educate and inspire viewers, contributing to social change by addressing and challenging gender-based violence and inequality.
Carlotta Pernicone, Isabella Viola, Patrizia d’Antona, and Giulia Bonanno unite for Standford’s new project. With their rich and varied backgrounds in theater and cinema, this talented group brings a remarkable blend of experience and creativity.
Each member’s unique perspective will undoubtedly contribute to a groundbreaking collaboration, promising an artistic venture that captivates and inspires.
The initiative is proud to have the support from the Scuola di Cinema Independente di Palermo and has attracted new collaborators, a diverse team of artists enhancing interest and guaranteeing a high-quality execution.
