Unit Production Manager 1 of 4 | By Dario Parisi

This year I have the chance to challenging myself in another level in the cinema industry, with 4 different registas, that means 4 different artistic minds and for this reason I decided to call this series of report [DIR. PRO.] to share with you a little bit of the backstage and to write about the experiences in each one of the trips
The first time that Dario Parisi impressed me, was when he answered Daniele Gaglianone to his question, what di you do till now? “I’ve writing several scrips to direct, and right now I would like to write something to pay tribute to my father that he has done many things in his life”. Front that moment I decided to pay more attention on him, to his point of view, the details, the artistic references, and the concept if this world that he was creating for “Effetti d’un sogno interrotto” write by Roberto Vaccaro.
Through these months I experienced and admired the persistence of Dario Parisi. From the very first moment he wanted to create a piece of art that could make the difference from a final test for the academy school. After too many circumstances, and “many” is short for him (locations, actors, dates, crew, time, technical issues, and budget), he managed to never give up, and taking my advice that “always has a plan b”, as a chance to develop a new path to combine in his vision.

And this is the type of person that in the proper time, and with the proper people has an opportunity to shine and let shine others work, because even all the inconvenient that we were passing, my trust on him it never changed, made stress, but never changed! And I was right and have the prove one everyone being proud of themselves in the essence of the shooting; even in the tiredness they were receptible to give their best for him and even if the shooting had ended, they were agreed to make a surprise to close this adventure together for them (Dario Parisi and Davide Latino)
And that was the purpose of my work, to create the brand “by Dario Parisi” not as Director with his piece, but as a Director with his Crew.

With this new line in my career, I can see this other perspective of the cinema industry, another level that is so much harder than I was experienced before, responsibilities, taking care for a whole crew and the time, learning from decisions, learning the tolerance of the words and the emotional support to give to others. And I must recognize that you must be prepare because is easy to say in words, but hard to deal.
Once again, thanks Piano Focale and Marco Lorruso for preparing us for the real Set, and to my colleges in crime, in this trip, Marco Filpi and Claudia Cellini, that are testing themselves too in the line of the Produzione. Maria Francesca Tona, thanks to believe in me and convincing me to be back to Palermo to complete this part of the cinema that I really needed for my creative perspective.
As my mentor says each time when I finish a set; señor Dario Parisi “Sono orgoglioso di te”.
